Christopher John Francis Boone is a mathematical genius who knows all the countries in the world and every prime number up to 7,057. Upon finding that his neighbors dog Wellington has been murdered with a garden fork, he sets out to solve the mysteri of who did it. Along the way he uncovers secrets about his own family that chances his world forever.
ONE YEAR IN THE MAKING
Coming off the heels of their 2016 production of Slipping, The Restless Observers decided to raise the stakes with their most challenging and ambitious production to date. It was a daunting task, with the Broadway version of the show being a technical marvel that took a crew of 50 people to complete. Lacking the financial means to create such a spectacle, it was decided that this lack of effects could be actually be a benefit to the production. The Restless Observers prefer story as opposed to effects. With this in mind a large majority of the attention over the production was focused on creating dynamic, genuine characters to draw the audience in by means of the story. One year was spent on extensive autism research, character studying, and devising ( a form of theater that focuses on actors using their bodies to create an environment and to move the story forward). This attention to detail heightened the story to a level rarely seen and resulted in a unique production that stayed true to the mission of the company.
