RE-IMAGINED.

In 2016, five students from Utah State University came together to defy the odds and independently produce the play Slipping by Daniel Talbott. Since then, The Restless Observers strive to expose audiences to new elements of thought and expression, while fostering talent in a highly collaborative, challenging and motivating environment.

BRENDON HENDERSON

A graduate from Grand County High School in Moab, and a theater major from Utah State University, Brendon's resume includes work on plays such as Rabbit Hole, The Matchmaker, Almost Maine, Slipping, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and Dogfight.

Brendon started The Restless Observers to provide artists who are often overlooked with opportunities for growth, while also holding a mirror up to society and shining a light on stories  that are not often told.

“The Restless Observer’s production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is a wonderful example of how small theatre groups are capable of creating something great. Although it has been entirely created by students, you can see how much time and attention to detail has been given to it, making it reach levels of professionalism and quality. I can’t find one fault in this production. Those involved are all really talented. It is an important story, the kind of story not many people attempt to tell. But they tell it so beautifully. If you tend to cry in tearjerker movies, this one may also make you cry. Bring tissues.”

Christy Hudson, Front Row Reviewers Utah

“Slipping was unlike any theatrical production I have ever experienced. No fancy stage lights, just the simple dimming and flicking on and off of the overheads; no fancy sets, instead only a couple boxes and benches. Upon walking into the theater, I was nervous about the lack of materials, but my apprehension vanished after seeing the acting tour de force on display. It was unique, refreshing, and above all else…moving.”
